Sizes first: the squishy duck comes in four
A squishy duck can be a jelly mini you could lose in a coat pocket or a jumbo you need both hands to squeeze, and the product photos rarely make the scale obvious. Across the fifteen duck squishies we stock, listings describe four sizes: pocket, palm, two-hand jumbo, and a set that includes all three. None of our duck listings gives inches or grams, so this page uses the listings’ own size words and says so.
The other surprise is price. A single jumbo duck costs the same as a single pocket duck in our shop. More on that below.
How fast the interest grew
Google Ads data from DataForSEO for the United States shows “squishy duck” at 1,300 searches in September 2025. It reached 8,100 in January 2026 and 22,200 in February, hit 49,500 in March and peaked at 60,500 in May. By August it was 33,100, still about 25 times the September 2025 level. “Jumbo squishy duck” followed the same curve on a smaller scale, peaking at 5,400 a month.
That is the when. We do not have evidence for why, so we will leave the origin stories to others.
The size ladder
| Size (listing wording) | Our ducks | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Mini / pocket | Mini Duck Squishy; Mini Duck 30 Pack (jelly minis) | $17.99; $35.99 for 30 |
| Palm-sized | Squishy Duck Toy, Stretchy; Cute Duck Squishy; Soft Duck Squishy; Mochi Duck Squishy | $17.99 each |
| Two-hand jumbo | Jumbo Duck, Giant Two-Hand; Jumbo Duck, Big Two-Hand; Jumbo Squishy Duck, Ultra-Soft; Giant Duck Squishy | $17.99 each |
| All three in one box | Jumbo Duck Squishy Set, 3 Sizes (big, medium, tiny) | $22.99 for 3 |
| Not stated | Kawaii Long-Neck Duck (tucks into a bag); Round Cute Duck (called pocket-friendly); Duck Squishy 2 Pack (dressed-up); Dressed Duck | $17.99; $17.99; $19.99 for 2; $12.00 |
“Two-hand” is the useful phrase in the jumbo listings. It tells you the duck is meant to be squeezed with both hands, which is a better guide than the word jumbo on its own.
Five textures, in the listings’ own words
Most of our ducks are slow-rise foam, but not all of them, and the feel is described differently:
- Slow-rise foam. The jumbos and most palm ducks sink under pressure and drift back. The Ultra-Soft Jumbo “molds deep, then slowly rebounds”; the Giant Duck “compresses easily and slowly rises back”.
- Stretchy pull. The Kawaii Long-Neck Duck and the Stretchy Squishy Duck Toy both describe a “malt-sugar” give: you can stretch them as well as squeeze.
- Dense and buttery. The dressed-up Duck Squishy 2 Pack is described as having “the dense, buttery feel of a good mochi squishy”.
- Jelly bounce. The 30 minis are translucent, look like gummy candy, and press down then bounce back. No slow rise is claimed.
- Quick round-back. The Round Cute Duck “squashes flat under your palm and rounds back out a second later”.
If you specifically want the slow rise, the jelly minis are the ones to skip.
What is a squishy duck filled with?
Where our listings name a material, it is foam: “soft foam”, “soft doughy foam”, “soft slow-rising foam” or “marshmallow-soft foam”. The foam is the duck; there is no separate filling. The Mochi Duck and Soft Duck listings say “soft squishy fill” and “pillowy squish” without naming the material, and the jelly minis do not state one.
None of our duck listings mention gel, water beads or liquid. We cannot speak for ducks sold elsewhere, which may be built differently.
What a squishy duck costs, per duck
Our arithmetic from current listing prices:
- Mini Duck 30 Pack: $35.99 ÷ 30 = about $1.20 each
- Jumbo Duck Set, 3 Sizes: $22.99 ÷ 3 = about $7.66 each
- Duck Squishy 2 Pack: $19.99 ÷ 2 = about $10.00 each
- Dressed Duck: $12.00 for one, $11.40 each for two, $10.80 each for three
- Every other single duck: $17.99, whether it is a pocket mini or a two-hand jumbo
So if size is what you are paying for, a single jumbo is the most duck for the money. If you want several ducks, the three-size set gives you a jumbo plus two smaller ones for $5 more than one jumbo. You can see all of them together in our Duck Squishy collection.
Not every duck here is a squishy
The Banana Duck Clicker Keychain is a 3 × 2 × 2 in, 35 g keychain with a pressable top. It is a clicker, not a squeeze toy, and makes a sound when pressed, so do not buy it expecting a soft duck.
FAQ
How big is a jumbo squishy duck?
Our jumbo duck listings do not give measurements. They describe the duck as big enough to need both hands. The three-size set pairs a jumbo with a medium and a tiny duck, which is the easiest way to see the scale.
What are squishy ducks filled with?
The ones we sell that name a material are foam all the way through. None of our duck listings mention gel, beads or liquid; the jelly minis do not state a material.
How much does a squishy duck cost?
In our shop, $17.99 for a single of any size, $12.00 for the smaller Dressed Duck, and as little as about $1.20 per duck in the 30-pack of jelly minis.
Is every duck squishy slow rising?
No. The jelly minis bounce straight back and the Round Cute Duck rounds out in about a second. The jumbos and most palm-sized ducks are described as slow rising.
