Which squishy octopus pack is the better deal?
A squishy octopus from our shop costs anywhere from $2.50 to $17.99 per octopus, depending almost entirely on how many come in the pack. The cheapest per piece is a 12-pack of mesh octopus balls, but it is also the only one of our octopus squishies whose listing says it springs straight back with no slow rise. Pick the pack by how you will use it, then by price.
Below, every octopus-shaped squishy we had listed on September 30, 2026 is lined up by price per octopus, with what its own product listing says about the filling and the rebound.
Price per octopus, from 12-pack to single
Price per octopus is the listed price divided by the number of octopuses in the pack, rounded to the cent. Filling and rebound are quoted from each listing’s own wording; where a listing does not say, we say so.

Two penguin squishies in the shop also carry a small octopus on the penguin’s head. They are penguins first, so we left them out of the per-octopus maths.
Three kinds of rebound, and why it matters more than price
Reading the ten listings side by side, the octopus squishies fall into three rebound groups:
- Slow rise (six listings). The 6-pack, the jelly 4-pack, the mochi 4-pack, the funny-face 4-pack, the mochi 3-pack and the crowned single all describe a body that flattens and slowly fills back out. If the slow puff-back is the point for you, stay in this group.
- Bead-filled, rounds back (two listings). The bead-filled 4-pack and the mini 4-pack are packed with foam beads that shift and crunch when pressed, then round back. Neither listing uses the words “slow rising”, so expect the crunch to be the main event rather than a long rise.
- Mesh, springs straight back (one listing). The 12-pack’s beads sit under a stretchy mesh skin and, in its listing’s words, spring right back with “no slow rise”.
The Jelly Octopus single is the odd one out: its listing describes only how it looks, so we cannot place it in a rebound group.
The trade-off is plain once it is laid out. The $2.50-per-piece option is the one without a slow rise. The cheapest slow-rising octopus squishy per piece is the 6-pack at $6.67, which still undercuts both singles ($12.00 and $17.99).
Matching a squishy octopus pack to the job
Party favors or a classroom handout. Count heads first. Twelve guests are covered by one mesh 12-pack at $2.50 each; if you want slow-rising octopuses instead, two 6-packs cover twelve at $6.67 each, or $79.98 in total against $29.99.
One for your own desk. A single costs more per octopus, but you only need one. The crowned mochi octopus is the slow-rising single; the Jelly Octopus is cheaper at $12.00 but its listing does not describe its rebound.
Something to carry around. The mochi 4-pack is the only octopus listing that mentions a case for travel. The mini 4-pack’s listing describes its octopuses as small enough to fit in a pocket.
Picking colours for a group. Some listings name their colours: the jelly 4-pack comes in blue, pink, purple and yellow, the mochi 4-pack in clear, pink, blue and purple, and the mochi 3-pack in blue, purple and clear. Check these before a pack is split between children who each want a particular colour.
One practical note from our returns policy: opened mystery boxes and sets cannot be returned because of a change of mind or a preferred design. Items that arrive damaged, incorrect or incomplete are still covered. If a colour mix matters, read the listing before you open the pack.
FAQ
Which octopus squishies are the cheapest per piece?
The Ocean Octopus Mesh Squishy Stress Ball 12-Pack, at $2.50 per octopus ($29.99 for 12). Its listing says the mesh balls spring right back rather than rising slowly.
Which octopus squishies rise slowly?
By their own listings, six do: the 6-pack jelly set, the jelly 4-pack, the mochi 4-pack, the funny-face 4-pack, the mochi 3-pack and the crowned single. The two bead-filled 4-packs round back after the beads shift, and the mesh 12-pack springs straight back.
Is a squishy octopus pack cheaper than buying singles?
Yes, in every case we list. Even the smallest multipack, the mochi 3-pack, works out at $7.66 per octopus, against $12.00 and $17.99 for our two singles. Prices here were checked on September 30, 2026; the product page always shows the current price.
