New squishy toys this season, counted from our catalog dates
Between August 21 and September 17, 2026, we added 86 new listings to the shop, and 37 of them are new squishy toys. The rest are fidget toys, which arrived in one batch in mid-September. Of the 37 squishies, a handful change how a squishy behaves: one shifts color with warmth, one keeps the dent you press into it, one is gel you can stretch. The others are familiar builds in new shapes, mostly bread.
“New” here means new to our catalog, taken from the date each listing went live. It is not a claim that a design launched worldwide this season, and we have not tested these ourselves; what each toy does is taken from its listing.
The new squishies that behave differently
These are the arrivals where the listing describes a feel or reaction you would not get from an ordinary slow-rise foam squishy.
| New squishy | What is different | Size and weight | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Color-Changing Mango Squishy | Heat-reactive skin that turns from green toward yellow or orange where it warms, including under a warm hand | 8 × 6 cm, 70 g | $17.99 |
| Kiwi Slushie Squishy Ball | Moldable fill that holds each dent until you work it back into a ball; handmade | not recorded | $17.99 |
| Watermelon Squishy | Dense fluid-filled gel you can squeeze, stretch or poke; holds the shape briefly, then eases back | 6 × 5.5 cm, 100 g | $17.99 |
| Glitter Toothpaste Squishy | Squeeze-tube shape in clear colored material with star glitter | 4.5 × 6.5 cm, 250 g | $17.99 |
| Pineapple Squishy, 20 cm | Two-hand size in slow-rising foam with a raised rind | 20 × 16 cm, 600 g | $24.99 |
The weights are the interesting part. The toothpaste tube weighs 250 g at 6.5 cm tall, while the mango is 70 g at 8 cm. So the toothpaste squishy is a dense, heavy piece in the hand, and the mango is light. If you like a squishy with some weight to it, look at grams, not photos.
The Chick Squishy Ball arrived the same week, a 4.5 cm TPR ball in four colors, and so did a Rainbow Unicorn Bun that ships in a random color.
Bread went long: 14 bakery squishies on one day
On August 28 alone, 14 bread and baguette squishies went live. The spread runs from an 11.5 cm raisin cookie bread weighing 10 g to a 50 cm baguette weighing 153 g, all at $17.99. Four of the 14 (the extra-long classic, golden fleck, lime green fleck and pink floral baguettes) do not record a size yet. The ones that do are compared in our bread squishy size chart, so we will not repeat the measurements here. The whole group sits in the baguette squishy collection.
Halloween arrived early
Seven Halloween listings went live on August 22, including a clear bead-filled Glitter Ghost Squishy, a Gold Pumpkin Skull, a bloodshot eyeball squishy and three Halloween butter squishy listings, one of them a 12-piece display box. They are in the Halloween squishy collection with the older spooky pieces.
Five “mystery” boxes that list what is inside
The first arrivals of the period, on August 21, were five fun boxes of 4 or 8 squishies at $19.99 to $29.99. Despite “mystery” in the names, each listing spells out every piece. The Gold Squishy Fun Box, for example, lists a butter bar, a gold dumpling with a steamer, a textured gold ball and a cheese cube, and says the steamer is packaging, not an extra toy. Read that list before buying if you want to know whether you already own half the box.
Three squishy making kits
On September 14 three kits went live. The DIY Squishy Making Kit with 15 TPR skins ($27.99) replaces the usual balloon with thick clear skins that close with a ring and plug. The other two are liquid silicone kits for poured taba-style squishies: one with paw, capybara and bunny molds ($29.99), and one with eight molds ($21.99). What comes in each silicone kit is broken down in our post on taba squishy kits.
More than half of what landed is not a squishy
49 of the 86 new listings are fidget toys, all added between September 15 and 17: spinners, clicker keychains, sensory boards, fidget rings and puzzle boxes. If you came looking for something to squeeze, skip that batch; if you want something to click or spin, it is in fidget toys.
How to use this list
- Check the size line. 20 of the 37 new squishy listings record a size, and two of those are kit boxes rather than toys. For the rest, the product name is all you have.
- Look at weight for feel. Among the ones that record it, weight separates a light, airy squishy from a dense one better than the words “soft” or “slow”.
- Our New Arrivals collection is broader than this season. The New Arrivals collection holds 833 listings, far more than were added in these four weeks, which is why this post goes by catalog dates instead.
FAQ
What is the newest squishy toy in your shop?
By catalog date, the newest squishy is a cheese block squishy added on September 16, 2026. The newest ones with a new feel are the color-changing mango, the moldable kiwi slushie ball and the fluid-filled watermelon, all added on August 22.
Are these new squishies, or new to your shop?
New to our shop. The dates come from when each listing went live in our catalog, not from a manufacturer launch date.
Which new squishy toy is the biggest?
The 50 cm baguette is the longest. The 20 cm pineapple, at 600 g, is the heaviest single new squishy toy that records a weight (the silicone kit boxes weigh more, but they are kits).
Where are all the new squishies in one place?
There is no single page for just this season’s squishies, so this post links each one. The New Arrivals collection holds them along with many older listings.
