Four questions that separate one fast food squishy from another
A hot dog squishy, a pizza slice and a fried chicken drumstick look like different toys, but most of the listings describe the same build: one soft, slow-rising piece shaped and colored like food. What actually separates them is smaller. Can you take it apart? Does it smell of anything? Does the listing tell you how big it is? And what does one piece cost once it comes in a pack?
We went through the 24 savory fast food squishies in our catalog (hot dogs, pizza, burgers, fried chicken, tacos and fries) and checked each listing for those four things. Sweet sandwich cookies are left out, and so is one burger toy that is not a squishy at all (more on that below).

Hot dog squishy: five listings, one question each
Our Hot Dog Squishy collection has five listings, and each answers a different need.
- Size. The Jumbo Hot Dog Squishy is the only one with a measurement: 5 inches, described as sticky and sized for two hands.
- Smell. The Scented Hot Dog Squishy is the one that smells, and its listing calls the smell sweet bakery, not hot dog.
- Pocket. The Soft Hot Dog Squishy is described as palm-sized and pillowy, with no measurement.
- Variety. The Mochi Hot Dog 3 Pack pairs a hot dog with a mini hamburger and a pizza slice in kawaii mochi form, and the Hot Dog and Cake 4 Pack mixes a smiling hot dog with a cake, a bread and a donut.
If you are hunting the one from a video, compare the bun: the jumbo and scented listings describe a sausage lying in a bun, while the mochi pack describes a plump hot dog in kawaii mochi form.
Pizza squishies, and the cheese wedge that is not a pizza
Four listings are pizza squishies proper. The 2 Pack Pizza Squishy gives you two slices, one orange and one yellow. The Fidget Pizza Squishy 2 Pcs pairs a cheesy slice with a slice of cake. The Slow Rising Pizza Squishy is a single slice sold on softness. The Jumbo Pizza Squishy 6-Pack is really a mixed box: pizza, burger, popcorn, cake and ice cream shapes, six pieces in all.
“Jumbo” in that name is not a measurement. The listing calls the pieces oversized but gives no size, so you cannot compare it with the 5-inch hot dog.
Two more items turn up in pizza searches because of their names: the Pizza Cheese Squishy and a separate Pizza Cheese. Both are yellow triangles of holey cheese, not pizza slices. The first says it is PU foam and eases back over a few seconds; the second says it holds a thumb dent and then rises. Buy them if you want cheese; skip them if you wanted crust.
Hamburger squishies: the only fast food you can take apart
Burgers are the one food here with a real difference in build. Four of the six hamburger listings describe molded pieces that do not come apart. The Burger Squishy is a mini burger with sesame bun, lettuce and patty layers; the Giant Hamburger Squishy is 4.5 inches with a cat face on top; the Scented Hamburger Squishy is 4 inches; and the Hamburger 4-Pack is a burger, a taco, a coffee cup and a pizza slice.
The other two come apart:
- The Squeezy Hamburger Squishy 2-Pack lets you pull off the bun, stack the patty and rebuild it. Its listing says it springs back fast, so this one is about stacking, not slow rise.
- The Fidget Hamburger Squishy describes a stretchy patty, a springy bun and toppings you can stack.
A take-apart burger has loose parts, so count them back into the box after play, especially with small children around.
The Hamburger Folding Fidget that sits in our fidget cube collection is not a squishy. It is a segmented folding toy, so it does not belong in a squeeze comparison.
Fried chicken squishy: three drumsticks, three kinds of “realistic”
All three fried chicken squishies are single drumsticks at the same price, and none gives a size. What differs is what “realistic” means in each listing.

If you searched “chicken squeeze toy” and want something to hold by a handle, the bone grip on the second one is the detail to look for. If you want the look of a fresh piece from the fryer, the dimpled skin on the third is the closer match.
Does a scented hot dog squishy smell like a hot dog?
No listing in this group says it does. Five of the 24 mention a scent, and every one that names the smell calls it sweet:
- Scented Hot Dog Squishy: a sweet bakery smell.
- Realistic Taco Squishy: a light, sweet scent.
- 2 Pack Taco Squishy: a faint sweet scent.
- Scented Hamburger Squishy: a light scent, not described further.
- Hot Dog and Cake 4 Pack: lightly scented, not described further.
So a savory shape does not mean a savory smell. If the smell is the point, expect something closer to a bakery than a grill. If no smell is the point, 19 of the 24 do not mention a scent at all.
Packs versus singles: cost per piece
Single fast food squishies are 17.99 dollars each; the one exception is the separate Pizza Cheese wedge at 12 dollars. Packs bring the per-piece price down:

The Jumbo Hot Dog Squishy at 5 inches is the only hot dog listing that gives a size, so it is the only one we can call the biggest with any certainty.
Are hamburger squishies one piece?
Most are. Four of our six hamburger listings describe molded burgers with no parts to remove. The Squeezy Hamburger 2-Pack and the Fidget Hamburger Squishy come apart into bun, patty and toppings.
Is the fried chicken squishy slow rising?
