Three different toys share one name
“Highland cow squishy” sounds like one product, but the name covers at least three builds that feel nothing alike in the hand. Some are clear bodies packed with jelly beads that crunch and shift. Some are soft foam cows that sink under your thumb and rise back slowly. One is a smaller molded foam figure with the shaggy coat sculpted into its surface. If you have only seen one of these in a video, the one that arrives may not be the one you pictured.
We stock nine cow squishies, and this page sorts them by build using only what each listing actually says. Where a listing is silent (material, weight, rise time), we say so instead of guessing.
The search spike, in numbers
This is a new craze, not an old favourite. Google Ads data from DataForSEO for the United States shows “highland cow squishy” at 30 to 170 searches a month from September 2025 through February 2026. In March 2026 it jumped to 18,100. It dipped to 6,600 in May, then climbed to 40,500 in July and 60,500 in August. The shorter phrases “cow squishy” and “squishy cow” peaked at 14,800 in August.
Those figures tell you when people started looking, not why. We have no data on what set it off, so we will not guess.
Build 1: jelly-bead cows (crunch, no slow rise)
Two of our cows are bead-filled:
- The Kawaii Pink Cow Squishy ($17.99) has a crystal-look body packed with jelly beads. Its listing is unusually direct about the feel: the beads crunch and shift, then settle back, and it states plainly that it is not slow-rising. It is described as palm-sized.
- The 4 Pack Cow Squishy Crystal Jelly Bead set ($29.99) is four bead-filled cows, each a different colour. The tagline calls them water-bead cow squishies.
Choose this build if the appeal for you is the texture of beads rolling around under your fingers. Skip it if you want the slow sink-and-recover that most people mean by “squishy”.
Build 2: soft slow-rise cows
Six cows are soft foam-style squishies whose listings describe a slow return to shape. The wording differs, and so do the sizes that are given:
| Cow | Price | How the listing describes the squeeze | Size given |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 Pack Cocoa Cow | $19.99 for two | Slowly pushes back; matte, “soft fuzzy” | Palm-sized |
| Caramel Tan Cow | $17.99 | Sinks low and rises back on its own | Sits in your palm |
| Tan Highland Cow | $17.99 | Squeezes flat, bounces back slow | Not stated |
| Fuzzy Cow (orange) | $17.99 | Squishes flat, rises back at a lazy pace | Small enough to palm |
| Cuddly Cow (deep brown) | $17.99 | Folds in slow, then rounds back out | 6 in |
| Jumbo Cow | $17.99 | Dips under your thumb and creeps back | Fills your whole hand |
The Cuddly Cow is the only cow in our catalogue with a measured size on record. For the Jumbo Cow we only have the listing’s own comparison to a hand, so treat “jumbo” as bigger than palm-sized, not as a specific number.
Build 3: the molded foam Ginger Cow
The Ginger Cow is a seated apricot highland cow with molded shaggy fur, short black horns and a cream snout. Its listing says the belly dents and then rebounds as the foam folds in, without describing the speed. It is the cheapest single at $12.00, and buying more of the same design brings the price per cow down: $22.80 for two and $32.40 for three.
What “fluffy” and “fuzzy” can and cannot tell you
A lot of shoppers search for a fluffy highland cow, meaning a cow that feels like a soft coat. Here is what our listings do and do not say:
- Three listings describe fur that is shaped into the body: the Ginger Cow (“molded shaggy fur”), the Tan Highland Cow (“sculpted with shaggy highland fur”) and the Fuzzy Cow (“fuzzy sculpted coat”). Sculpted fur is a pattern you can see and feel as ridges; it is part of the squishy surface.
- Three listings use “matte” for the surface (Cocoa, Tan Highland, Jumbo).
- No cow listing says “flocked” or names a fabric covering.
So if what you want is a velvety, plush-like coat, none of our listings confirm one, and we would rather tell you that than let the word “fluffy” in a product name do the work.
Price per cow
Everything here is in the current listings; the per-cow figures are our arithmetic:
- 4 Pack jelly-bead cows: $29.99 ÷ 4 = about $7.50 each
- 2 Pack Cocoa Cow: $19.99 ÷ 2 = about $10.00 each
- Ginger Cow: $12.00 for one, $11.40 each for two, $10.80 each for three
- Every other single cow: $17.99, whatever its size
The last line is worth noticing: the 6-inch Cuddly Cow and the hand-filling Jumbo Cow cost the same as the palm-sized Caramel Tan. If size matters to you, the bigger cows are not priced as premium items. You can browse the rest of our animals in the animal squishy collection.
Which highland cow squishy to pick
- You want crunch and movement: a jelly-bead cow, single or the four-pack.
- You want the classic slow sink: any of the six slow-rise cows; pick by colour and size.
- You want the biggest cow: the Cuddly Cow (6 in) or the Jumbo Cow.
- You are buying for a group: the four-pack has the lowest price per cow, and the Cocoa two-pack keeps the colour matched.
FAQ
Is a jelly-bead highland cow squishy slow rising?
Not the one we sell. The Kawaii Pink Cow listing says the beads crunch, shift and settle back, and states outright that it is not slow-rising. If slow rise is what you are after, pick one of the six slow-rise cows above.
Which cow squishy is the biggest?
In our catalogue, the Cuddly Cow is the only one with a recorded size, 6 inches. The Jumbo Cow’s listing says it fills your whole hand but gives no measurement.
Is a fluffy cow squishy actually furry?
Not by anything our listings state. Where the coat is described, it is sculpted or molded into the surface, and several surfaces are called matte. None of our cow listings mention flocking or fabric.
How much does a highland cow squishy cost?
Our cows range from about $7.50 each in the four-pack to $17.99 for a single, with the molded Ginger Cow at $12.00 for one.
