Decide how the goodie bags should match
For squishy party favors, start with the number of guests and whether you want matching designs or a mixed selection. A pack count tells you how many pieces are listed, but it does not necessarily tell you how many of each colour or shape you will receive. Plan the allocation before choosing the theme.
There are three different ways to make the bags feel fair. You can give everyone the same design, give everyone the same number of pieces from an assortment, or let each guest choose. Decide which promise you want to make before ordering birthday squishies.
For example, “everyone gets two toys” is easier to plan from a total pack count than “everyone gets one blue shark.” The second promise needs a confirmed quantity of the particular colour.
Compare what six current pack listings say
These are Squeezy listing details checked on October 2, 2026. The table records listed contents, rather than a physical count of delivered packs. Open the current page and check the option you select before buying.
| Pack | Listed total | How to use that information |
|---|---|---|
| Lemon shapes | 36 | A single lemon theme is a starting point for matching-design bags. |
| Mini puffer sharks | 24 | Plan from the total; confirm a colour quantity if it matters. |
| Colourful donuts | 12 | Plan one each for 12 guests, without promising a particular topping colour. |
| Dinosaur assortment | 24 | The description says different colours and shapes; do not promise identical dinosaurs. |
| Colourful soybean pod keychains | 12 | Check the actual colour allocation before planning colour-matched bags. |
| Mini egg-shaped animals | 60 | Work out pieces per guest from the total, then check the assortment. |
The shark photo illustrates the colour and shape theme. It does not display all 24 pieces or establish the number of each colour in the pack.
A listing that mentions six colours and 24 pieces does not, by itself, promise four of each colour. Likewise, twelve pods and twelve colours are not a detailed packing list. Ask for confirmation if the party depends on a specific distribution.
Work out pieces per guest before you buy
Use the guest count to set a target, then compare it with the listed pack total. These examples are arithmetic plans, assuming the purchased pack contains its stated total. They do not promise a colour or shape allocation.
| Guests | Plan | Listed pack total | Allocation |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | One donut-shaped piece each | 12 | 12 used; no spare |
| 12 | Two sharks each | 24 | 24 used; no spare |
| 15 | Two lemon-shaped pieces each | 36 | 30 used; 6 spare |
| 20 | Three mini egg-shaped pieces each | 60 | 60 used; no spare |
For 12 guests, one 24-piece pack could also give one piece each and leave 12 spare. Choose the plan that suits your bags and budget rather than treating the largest pack as automatically better value.
Leave room for changes to the guest list. If you expect 12 children and might add two siblings, a 12-piece pack has no spare under a one-each plan. Recalculate with the larger guest count before checkout.
Matching designs and mixed packs need different rules
For matching-design bags, choose a listing that clearly states the theme and count. “Matching” can mean the same animal or fruit theme; if it means an identical colour and print, confirm that separately. A group photo alone is not a guarantee that every pictured piece will arrive.
For mixed bags, set one repeatable rule: the same total number of toys in each bag, for example. Sort the contents first, lay out all the bags and distribute one round at a time. That gives you a chance to spot a short bag before handing them out.
If guests will choose their own, decide what happens when several want the same colour. One option is to let everyone make a first choice before allowing a second. You could also hand out closed bags if you want to avoid a colour-selection queue. These are party-planning options, not claims about children’s behaviour.
A colour-specific theme needs more evidence. If every bag must contain a yellow toy, verify that the purchased listing supplies enough yellow pieces. Do not substitute the number of colours in the photo for a quantity statement.
Check the children, the deadline and the return terms
Follow the age guidance and safety information on the actual packaging. Use the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s toy guidance when filling the bags: choose toys for each child’s interests and abilities, and exclude small balls and toys containing small parts for guests younger than three. Supervision does not replace that restriction. Choose an age-appropriate alternative for younger guests.
Before filling the bags, check that each item is intact and keep the packaging information available for the adults taking it home. Remove plastic wrappings before they become playthings, as the CPSC guidance advises.
For the deadline, read the current shipping estimate and its conditions. Count the time before the party as well as the time you need to sort and pack the bags. If the estimate leaves no preparation time, look for a confirmed alternative.
Read the refund policy before opening a set. Our current terms exclude opened mystery boxes and sets from change-of-mind returns or a preferred design. For orders with damage, incorrect items or missing pieces, you can still request a replacement or refund; your statutory rights continue to apply. Follow the policy’s request deadline and instructions for an eligible problem.
FAQ
How many squishy party favors do I need?
Multiply the guest count by the number of pieces you want in each bag, then add any spares you choose to allow. Check the listed contents of the selected pack. Total pieces do not establish the number of each colour.
Should every goodie bag have the same colour?
That is a planning preference. If matching colours are essential, obtain a confirmed quantity before ordering. Otherwise, use a rule such as the same number of toys in each bag.
Can I return an opened set because I wanted another design?
Our current refund terms exclude opened mystery boxes and sets from a change-of-mind return or a preferred design. If an order is damaged, contains the wrong items or is missing pieces, follow the policy’s deadline and instructions to request a replacement or refund; statutory rights remain unchanged.
