A heart squishy can cost 83 cents or $17.99
Search for a heart squishy and you get everything from a bag of tiny foam hearts to a realistic human heart with veins. In our shop, the cheapest heart works out to about 83 cents in a 24-pack and the most elaborate single heart costs $17.99. What you pay for is the build: foam, jelly with glitter, a sugar-bead fill, sticky silicone.
This guide sorts our eleven heart squishies by what they are made to do, so you can pick one for a desk, a gift or a whole class. It uses our own listings only. We have not measured the hearts, and none of the listings records a size in inches.
Heart-shaped, or just decorated with hearts?
Three of the eleven are not heart-shaped at all. The heart is a detail on another shape:
- the Bao Bun Heart Squishy is a steamed bun with heart eyes and a grin
- the Heart Glitter Bao is a milky-pink bun with heart confetti and clear beads inside
- the Heart Toothpaste Squishy is a clear toothpaste tube with glitter hearts floating in it
If the recipient wants a heart they can hold up and recognise across a room, skip these three. If they collect food squishies, the two buns may suit them better than a plain heart.
Hearts that do something unusual
Three hearts have a trick beyond the squeeze.
The Color Changing Heart 2 Pack changes shade with the heat of your hands: the listing says it pales where your fingers press and drifts back as it cools. It has a sugar-bead fill with a soft crunch under the smooth skin, and the listing does not claim a slow rise.
The Waffle Heart is sticky, stretchy silicone with a caramel-brown grid on top. The listing says it will stick to a fridge and slowly peel away.
The Anatomical Heart Squishy is modelled on a real human heart, veins and all, with a soft, slightly tacky silicone skin. It is listed as slow rising. This is the gag gift of the group, and it is the one heart here that nobody will mistake for a Valentine’s card.
Clear and glitter hearts for a desk
If you want one pretty heart to keep out, these are the ones built to be looked at:
- Glitter Heart: plump translucent pink, full of iridescent glitter, with SQUEEZE THE DAY printed in white. The glitter shifts when you pinch it.
- Pink Gel Heart: translucent magenta-pink gel with a smooth jelly glow. The dent rebounds after a squeeze.
- Clear Heart with Star and Butterfly Confetti: smooth, stretchy skin with stars and butterflies that scatter through the gel and settle as it springs back.
None of these three is sold as slow rising. The listings describe a dent and a spring back, so do not assume a slow rise.
Counting hearts for a class valentine swap
If you are buying valentine squishies for a whole class, the two multipacks are the only sensible options. Both are foam hearts with smiling faces:
- Mini Heart Squishy Stress Balls, 24 Pack: $19.99, about 83 cents a heart. Each fits a small fist.
- Heart Squishy Stress Balls, 30 Pack: $53.99, about $1.80 a heart, in red, pink and purple. Described as palm-sized.
A worked example for 25 children: one 30-pack costs $53.99 and leaves 5 spares. Two 24-packs cost $39.98 and leave 23 spares, but the hearts are the mini size. For 26 to 30 children, one 30-pack still covers everyone, while two mini packs give 48 hearts for $14.01 less. Pick on size, not only price: the mini hearts are smaller, and the 30-pack hearts are the palm-sized ones.
Check your school’s rules on non-food treats and small items before you buy for younger classes; we cannot answer that for you.

Which heart for which job
- A whole class or party bags: the 24-pack or the 30-pack.
- One gift that looks like a Valentine: the Glitter Heart or the Clear Confetti Heart.
- Something that reacts: the Color Changing 2 Pack, with one to give away.
- A joke gift: the Anatomical Heart.
- A food-squishy collector: the Bao Bun Heart or the Waffle Heart.
The Pastel Heart Mini Keyboard Keychain also turns up in heart searches, but it is a press-key keychain, not a squishy. Eight of the eleven hearts are in our Novelty Squishy collection, and the three multipacks are also in Squishy Packs & Sets.
FAQ
What is the purpose of a squishy heart?
It is a squeeze toy in a heart shape. People buy them to fidget with at a desk, to give as a small gift, or in bulk as class prizes and party favours.
Are heart squishies slow rising?
Some are. The Anatomical Heart, the Bao Bun Heart and the Heart Toothpaste Squishy are sold as slow rising. The glitter and gel hearts describe a dent that springs back, and the color-changing hearts have a crunchy sugar-bead fill.
How many heart squishies do I need for a class?
One per child plus a few spares. For 25 children, one 30-pack ($53.99) or two mini 24-packs ($39.98) covers everyone.
What is the difference between a heart squishy and a heart stress ball?
In our shop the bulk foam hearts are sold as heart squishy stress balls; the name is interchangeable. The single hearts are described with other builds: gel, glitter, a sugar-bead fill or silicone.
